Timeouts are usually called in a sporting event to interrupt the structure of the game. While timeouts are meant to interrupt they are built into the rules of the game in question.
For example:
A professional NBA Basketball game is set for 48 minutes. 4 – 12 Minute quarters. Each team gets about 7 timeouts per game, that in addition to the scheduled TV timeouts, can take the 48-minute timed event to a scheduled 2.5 hours or 150 minutes.
Here are all of the events that prompted me to take a Quick Timeout.

A black man holding a cell phone, not a gun. There were a lot of “other” circumstances surrounding this tragedy but I did ask 1 Reasonable question.
