Is the man a pushover, or Is he strong enough to stand up to her?
Reasonable Thoughts:
Well, I partly agree here. While my wife is not the ‘taking type’, I’m fully acknowledging, that there is a ‘taking type’. There the “type” that looks and probes to see what your man-morsels are made of! The Leading Type, or the doormat type. Are you the type that allow her to “lead” in that way?
Allow…yeah I said it.
Not in a misogynistic way but we, both men and women, ALLOW things to happen to us in relationships. Anyway, I digress.
I believe it’s more reasonable to consider, there is a closeness that a woman needs to feel and there is probably a way that she will express her closeness to the man she’s with. (Ladies, please let me know if I’m right or wrong in the comments.)
It stands to reason that, she wants to know how endearing she is to you. Will you accept her taking something that “belongs” to you. Will you allow her to “take” something that is yours. Will you allow her to come into your space, and in this case onto your plate.
Well, how else will she know? How will she know if you, the man, have let her in?
Will you let her in, or reject her? I think that idea is at the heart of what most women want to know. Which, within reason, is why I think she may “take” from your plate.
She’s gotta know. I can’t blame her for that. We communicate differently, there’s no crime there. The only crime may be not acknowledging that fact.
